東山除了是龍眼的產地外，更是龍眼蜜的主要採集地

每年三、四月，龍眼樹便會紛紛開出淺黃色的小花

這時養蜂人也悄悄出動，將一箱又一箱的小助手們放置於林中

牠們隨著日出而行、日落而息

歷經三個月辛勤的採集、累積終成為晶瑩剔透的美味龍眼蜜


龍眼蜜呈透光的深琥珀色具有獨特的龍眼花香，氣味濃郁且奔放，其甜度也是所有蜂蜜種類中最濃郁最甜的蜜種，口感溫順濃厚，不帶果酸味，為台灣人最喜歡的蜂蜜種類。因其蜜中葡萄糖偏低，故與其他花蜜箱比較不易結晶，可於液體中快速溶解。

食用建議：可直接搭配麵包、甜點食用。亦可用溫水、冷水沖泡後直接飲用。 

由於龍眼蜜香氣獨特，不適合搭配酸味太強烈的食物。
